Unable to find files on my Sharepoint site by using the Search function

In Sharepoint there are some restrictions on file and folder name length. An overview.

1. Folder/ file names should not contain more than 128 characters

2. Links created by following links on Sharepoint, should not contain more than 256 characters.

3. When saving files, the name ( including sites, folder and file names ) may not be longer than 260 characters, otherwise you will receive an error that your URL is too long.

What does this mean for my Sharepoint?

When using the "Search" function in Sharepoint you may not exceed 256 characters in length in the final resulting URL. In such a case no search results will be displayed.
