Restore/recover deleted items in Outlook 2007

Deleted items can be restored up to 14 days back.

Soft deleted items

These are items that are first deleted and then removed manually from the "Deleted Items" folder.

  1. Start Microsoft Outlook
  2. Click on "Deleted Items"

3. Click on "Tools" and then on "Recover Deleted Items"

4. Press CTRL and select the desired items by clicking on them. Click the "Recover" icon.

5. The mails are being restored.

Hard deleted items

These are mails which are deleted by pressing  SHIFT + DELETE. They are not first delivered in the "Deleted Items" folder.
The same procedure is applied with this difference that you don’t need to select the "Deleted Items" folder. Instead you have to select the folder from which the mails were removed.
