Open a shared folder in Outlook 2007

  1. On the "Tools" menu, click "Account Settings"
  2. Select your Microsoft Exchange Server and click on "Change"
  3. Click "More Settings"
  4. On the "Advanced" tab, under "Mailboxes", click "Add"
  5. Type in the full name of the person’s Mailbox you wish to open (not the user name) and click "Apply" and then "OK"
  6. Click "Next", and then click "Finish" and "Close"
  7. Scroll to the bottom of your Mail Folders list - you should see a heading mailbox (your colleague’s name)
  8. The folder they have given you permission to view should be under there
