How can I configure the web forwarding for my domain name?

  1. Log in on MyCloud
  2. Click on "Domain names"
  3. Click on the domain name for which you would like to change the DNS
  4. Click on "Forwarding". Here you can configure the URL and/or mail forwarding




From: Here you can enter a subdomain (e.g. test site). If you leave this field empty your domain will be forwarded to the destination address. You can uncheck the option "Also create a forward for www.domain.xx ". In this case only domain.xx will be forwarded to the destination.


We start from the idea that your domain name is and that you leave the field empty and that you check the above-mentioned option.


To: In this field you can enter the destination address. (e.g. You like to forward your domain to your web space with your internet provider. Here you can enter the direct address of your provider's web space).

Type: There are two options: In a "Frame" or "Direct". In case you opt for "Frame", you will always see the original domain for which the forwarding has been configured. If you opt for "Direct" you will see the real address of the website.


E.g.: Suppose you have configured the domain for forwarding to an existing website with the address . In case you opted for "Frame" you will always see the address in the address bar of your browser. In case you opted for "Direct" you will see the address in the address bar of your browser.


Please note : When opting for frame it is possible that some scripts on the site will no longer work (correctly).


There are also 3 optional fields: Title website , Description and Keywords


- Title: Here you can enter the title of your site that will be displayed in your browser and in the search engine results.




- Description and Keywords: If your site has been indexed by a search engine you want your site to obtain good search results. It is thus important to give a good title to your site and pages and to integrate a description and keywords.




5. Click on "Save" to confirm the settings


It is important to know that in case of changes on DNS level these changes need to be processed by our internal system. This can take a few minutes or hours (in case of changing the DNS server) and depends among other things on your domain name (.be, .com, .org, .eu, ... )
