Telenet Cloud Online Help

During the registration, you remove the www, why?

You probably tried to register a domain name such as ’ www.yourdomain.be’ or ’ www.yourdomain.com’. However, the ’ www’ is not part of the domain name because the domain name is also used for your email address and you can’t have an email address like ’ info@www.yourdomain.be’. The domain name that you need to register is ’ yourdomain.be’ or ’ yourdomain.com’. The www is placed in front when you create an URL for your website. This does not happen during the registration.
