How can I modify anonymous access for my Sharepoint 2010 website?

Anonymous access means that (part of your) website is accessible for all visitors, without having to insert a user name or password, so also registered users who actually were not supposed to have access!

  1. Log in with your administrator account on your Sharepoint 2010 website.
  2. Go to the sharepoint site for which you would like to configure anonymous access.
  3. Go to "Site Actions" and select "Site Permissions".

  4. Click on "Anonymous Access".

  5. You will now see a pop-up where you can choose for which parts you would like to configure anonymous access.
