What is PHP?

PHP (officially "PHP: Hypertext Preprocessor") is an often used open source scripting language that is specially designed to develop dynamic web applications and can be integrated into HTML. It can also work in a database to store the data.
This scripting language is used frequently in Content Management Systems (CMS). It can be used on both Linux and Windows (Server 2008) hosting.
